Trail Maintenance Contractor/Crew Supervisor
The Cowichan Trail Stewardship Society is looking to hire a trail maintenance contractor/Crew Supervisor.
Reporting to the Trail Lead, duties would include, brushing and weeding with gas powered tools, removal of blowdowns from trails, construction and maintenance of manmade technical trail features, and general dirt work.
Ideally the Trail Maintenance contractor will be a certified chainsaw operator, have occupational first Aid-Level 1, and have had formal training in sustainable trail construction and maintenance.
The successful candidate will be physically able to conduct manual labour on an ongoing basis. Salary is dependent on experience. The term of this position is September 14 to December 31, 2020.
